Types of companies in Sharjah

limited liability company – minimum two partners and maximum 50, who are liable only for the shares each holds in the company;

partnership company – at least two partners, who have to be citizens of the UAE;

branch of a foreign or local company – no minimum share capital required;

Gulf cooperation company branch;

public shareholding company – requires at least 10 founders and a minimum share capital of 10 million AED;

private shareholding company – it is necessary to have at least three shareholders and the minimum share capital is 2 million AED.
